Fleas and ticks carry several diseases (i.e., Dipylidium Caninum) that can affect your pet severely. In the case of fleas, these microscopic insects feed on your dog’s blood and survives as a foreign intruder on the skin and hair of your pet.

Flea bites cause tiny bumps along your pet’s skin, but if your dog is allergic to the saliva of a flea, they will constantly scratch and may end up causing scratching and swelling, and cause infections. Remember, fleas are blood-sucking parasites, which can cause anemia in pets if left untreated. Flea bites can also cause trigger skin allergies in pets.
